How to become a Lazada Seller?

I've created this blog to provide a detailed guideline to everyone entering the e-commerce business and introducing their products to Lazada platform. As a small/medium business entrepreneur, we wanted our products to reach the mainstream market. That's the reason why we opt to use different e-commerce platforms in the first place.

There are things to prepare before starting your online business with Lazada.

1. Concept or Product to Sell.

Before heading into e-commerce platform, ideally you already have a product in mind. Go to products which are unique, gives comfort and convenience to your target market.

2. Lazada Account.

You can have a lazada account in just a minute. It requires you to provide a government ID for verification purposes. Also, you must provide bank account information. It is the only way Lazada can remit your sales. Initially, Lazada don’t require individual sellers to provide business permit. But for established businesses, you must indicated business permits.

3. Lazada Pouches.

Order your Lazada pouches once you’ve listed your products. Don’t wait for an order to come before realizing you need one. You can order pouches at our co-sellers store. To know more of the process in ordering pouches, click this link. Note that in Lazada, packages are being sent at authorized drop off location. You can check the valid drop off location in this link. They do pickup packages only to items which are heavy and beyond 5kilos. For this setup, you need to fillup a schedule form to schedule a pickup of your desired location.

4. Lazada Starter Training.

Lazada provides training facilities for beginners at their university website link. You must take this to give you a grasp of their platform. They will also give you advice on how to become a successful Lazada seller.

5. Listing Products.

With this overview, I believe you are now ready to post products and accept orders. Go to “Products” menu to add your products. Tip: When listing your product, specify the shipping time you can deliver the product as this will affect your SLA and performance as a seller. If you would like more instructions on how to add products, click this link.

6. Processing Orders.

You will receive an email once a customer placed their order. You must prepare, packed, and shipped orders as early as possible. Once item is packed, print waybill and seller center document found at the “Manage Orders” menu. Attached the waybill at the Lazada pouch. They will scan this at the drop off location. When done, click the “Ready to ship” button. You will only place orders at ready to ship status when items are packed and you are ready to go to drop off location. Do not go at the drop off when you haven’t changed order status from “pending” to “ready to ship”. Your item might not be scanned properly or won’t changed automatically from RTS to shipped. Here’s the flow of processing orders.

6. Payments.

Your pay will reflect on the revenue menu once item was successfully received by customer. The date of which your sales will be remitted is indicated in your statement of account. In my case, I’ve waited two weeks before my first sales was remitted.

I hope you find this article helpful. Happy selling!
